HATER FRIDAY | Horror Movies

As an avid movie watcher, I spend my spare time watching anything under the sun. With my people-pleasing tendencies, I will never admit to detesting a movie. Well, my people-pleasing era stops today. This past weekend, I watched a movie that pushed me straight into my villain era, and I will no longer sit silent. To preface, I would like to add a disclaimer: I have deep trauma from the first horror movie I ever watched.

As a poet, I have developed my craft for over seven years now. Over these many years, I have written so many terrible things, so many poorly-written poems. So, I worked hard to create something good. A couple of years ago, I got my first poem published in an amateur magazine, and then a college literary magazine. Now, I have so many poems I can be proud of; nuanced, rhythmic and detailed poems — works that require deep effort and show certain skill. This is why Rupi Kaur’s success is utter garbage.

HATER FRIDAY | The Worst Walks at Cornell

As a native New Yorker, I love walking. No really, love it. I love it so much that sometimes I would elect to walk the two miles to or from my high school in lieu of taking the subway. Other times, I would spend my whole day just strolling. Back in June, I even walked the entire length of Manhattan, all 11 and a half miles.
