Conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro will speak at Cornell on Oct. 28.
Federico Finchelstein Ph.D. ’06, a professor at the Eugene Lang College, will be leading a lecture titled “From Populism to Fascism?” on Wednesday to discuss the difference between fascism and populism and their relation to democratic procedures.
Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, economics, presented in the third installment of a fall lecture series entitled “The American State in a Multipolar World.”
As the humanitarian crisis of the Syrian Civil War claims thousands of lives in the Middle East, it has also costed the economies of neighboring countries billions of dollars, including Lebanon.
“[This water crisis] is avoidable if we take some fast action,” Siegal said. “But we are not taking that action yet.”
“If in 1993, the way I interacted with you on the internet was that I created a page and my page linked to your page, now suddenly we were interacting much more directly,” Kleinberg said.
