Cornellians looking for an omelette or pancakes just lost another late-night staple: Denny’s abruptly closed last Thursday after six years of operation — without notifying the public or its employees.
Once I tried the brunch, it was a game changer; I have to hold myself back from going every weekend. This October, I tried their lunch for the first time. For the sake of journalism, I forced myself to review their vegan options to help you all decide whether to go to Moosewood for a special lunch, brunch or both.
Cornell United Religious Work’s Soup and Hope series will continue this semester with an upcoming talk by Bill Alberta M.S. ’77. The series has been successful for over a decade, passing on uplifting messages of hope to students, faculty and members of the Ithaca community.
Next time you have a hankering to get out of Ithaca, drive yourself up to Trumansburg and eat breakfast with Charlie — or just ask to use the bathroom (it was just as adorable as the café and worth the drive).
