Cornell rowing teams had some fun on the water while racing with crazy costumes.
Lightweight rowing takes five of six Varsity Eights to win the Baggaley Bowl and the Geiger Cup.
During the race for the Platt cup, the Red raced neck and neck with Princeton, eventually securing first place with a time of 5:38.5. The Red also secured the Harriet Cup, by achieving the most team points throughout the course of the competition.
Cornell rowing won the Matthews Trophy and the Leonard Cup, and finished well at the Cayuga Cup and Class of 1975 Cup.
Cornell’s lightweight crew proved itself worthy of the top spot in the nation with a decisive win over Princeton.
“We’ve had success in the last number of years at the Chase but nothing like this. It was a great Sunday for family and alumni who came out to support us especially after the bad weather on Saturday.”
