Cornell men’s soccer sowed the seeds of success in its 2017 bounceback season. Now it’s time to harvest some of the rewards.
If you look at it statistically, we improved in every aspect. We scored more goals, we let in far fewer goals, we had more shots, allowed fewer shots, and from a stats point of view the numbers don’t lie: we’ve improved a fair amount.”
The junior transfer got his first chance against Syracuse, where he won his team the game. Since then, he hasn’t looked back.
The young guns for Cornell keep firing on al cylinders.
“No matter the team, every Ivy game will have an element of ‘ugliness’ or extra physicality. If we can match that, then we can have success.”
Men’s soccer has already blown its win total from last year out fo the water, and they don’t plan to stop anytime soon.
After playing soccer together all their lives growing up together, junior Ryan and freshman Connor Bayne now have the opportunity to play together for their father’s alma mater with the hope of bringing success to Cornell men’s soccer.
Cornell has not lost a game in four straight contest following a 1-1 draw against its Ivy foe Penn on the road.
