While the University moves towards social distancing in the light of the global COVID-19 outbreak, Climate Justice Cornell plans to move their movement online.
Although they understand the dire circumstances, freshmen are disappointed about the abrupt end to their first year on campus.
Professors must figure out how to conduct their classes online starting after spring break until the end of the semester. However, for laboratory, discussion-based and physical education classes, a virtual classroom is difficult to facilitate, pushing professors to find innovative ways to bring their classes online — or forcing them to cancel.
Cornell IT is confident that Zoom will be able to support the thousands of classes that need to be conducted online.
