The Ithaca campus “will be closed and classes are cancelled,” read an updated version of a Cornell emergency alert.
Despite the reportedly 10-inch-foot snow on Wednesday, university administration says it would take more for Cornell to announce another snow day after its first in 24 years on Mar. 14, 2017.
Cornellians marveled in the white sheet of snow that blanketed nearly all 2,000 acres of the Ithaca campus on Tuesday and celebrated by skiing and sliding down Libe Slope.
TCAT is temporarily suspending service due to treacherous roads and some professors are preemptively cancelling Wednesday afternoon classes due to Winter Storm Stella.
All classes and exams have been cancelled and the University expects to remain shut until noon on Wednesday.
