Susan Currie, former director of Tompkins County Public Library, is running for County Legislator with voting on Tuesday.
Following the resignation of Steve Smith (D-4th Ward) in August, two Cornellians are running to fill in for the 4th Ward, citing hopes to increase communication between the city and students, create more affordable housing options and more.
Taking her oath of office on Tuesday, Leslie Schill will serve as a Tompkins County legislator, hoping to improve housing security and vaccine distribution.
