The suspect fled from the scene, and is considered “armed and dangerous.”
The names of the perpetrators are still being withheld because of their juvenile status, but three males ages 13, 15 and 16 are being prosecuted in connection to a stabbing in the Commons on Friday.
Three subjects under the age of 17 were arrested on charges of gang assault in the first degree and assault in the first degree for a stabbing that occurred on Friday evening in the Commons.
The victim was “bleeding profusely from the face and back” after being stabbed several times and was transported via helicopter to a regional trauma center.
A new trial will begin next week for the man accused of murdering Ithaca College student Anthony Nazaire on Cornell’s campus, following a mistrial in June.
A man pulled over a car on Saturday morning and flagged down an ambulance for help treating a stab wound to the chest and neck, Ithaca Police said.
At least one man was stabbed near the Mobil gas station on West State Street on Wednesday night in what one witness said was a double-stabbing.
“What I want for [Green] is life in jail because my son will never be able to see the sun shine,” Nazaire said. “He will never be able to walk this earth anymore, but this criminal, he gets to live, he gets to be sleeping in a comfortable bed, he gets food, you understand? He gets to speak to his loved ones.”
This is an investigation that absolutely cannot slip from the minds of this community. As the police grow quiet about the issue, the Ithaca and Cornell communities must continue to demand justice and closure.
Gale, who turned himself in to the Ithaca Police Department last Friday, accompanied by his attorney, was charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.
