L.M. Nawrocki ’23 was awarded the Student Leader Award on Saturday, June 17 for cultivating safe spaces for LGBTQ+ Cornell students.
With student organizations beginning to hold in-person gatherings, many report difficulties with the University’s new space usage and event registration policies.
The Office of the Student Advocate, created by the Student Assembly last September, is gearing up to help students find the right office to deal with their issues, as well as follow up with those students to ensure that the issue has been resolved.
The Cornell Roosevelt institute partnered with three other colleges across the U.S. to create the first-ever Global Student Policy Alliance. Hundreds of students interested in public policy will now have the opportunity to share perspectives and pitch viable solutions to important global issues such as racial discrimination, mental health and climate change.
