Despite the increase in DEI initiatives within sororities under the Panhellenic Association, four members told The Sun about race-related anxieties over recruitment and biases within the Greek Life system.
At their annual Mental Health Summit, Building Ourselves Through Sisterhood and Service educated women of color about the importance of mental health through speaker panels and workshops.
Amidst calls for greater mental health protections, Building Ourselves through Sisterhood and Service hosted a summit this weekend, inviting guest speaker Elyse Fox founder of Sad Girls Club to tackle mental health issues in the event’s keynote address on Saturday.
On Saturday, the organization hosted 10 different workshops on topics including body image, study activism and relationships. The workshops were hosted by professionals from Cornell Health and the Title IX Office as well as student leaders.
