Students and Faculty Celebrate International Women’s Day with ‘Empowering’ Luncheon

“International feminism must recognize the cultural differences and variations in lived experiences,” said Elise Czuchna ’18.
“As Ivy League students, we recognize the power and privilege that has been awarded us,” Elena Gupta ’19 said. “Our hope is … to break the glass ceilings that exist in the workplace by beginning with those that exist in the classroom.”
Though Women’s Day has been marked off the 2017 calendar, the University still has a ways to go in terms of gender equality.
