Ithaca’s recent hazy skies and red sunsets can be traced to the smoke from large fires burning in parts of the western U.S. and Canada.
While Cornellians received one of the 42 total tornado warnings across New York State on July 10, the storm that passed through Ithaca did not end up producing a tornado.
The National Weather Service placed Ithaca under a heat advisory due to a heatwave from July 18-22.
