The first woman to serve as Cornell’s top cop will leave the University on March 4 after more than a quarter century with the department.
The University on Oct. 29 released a statement saying that it is postponing consideration of the speaker event planned by Cornell’s chapter of Turning Point U.S.A. — a grass-roots conservative organization headed by Kirk and Owen that primarily works with college students.
‘Controversial’ events funded by the SAFC will now require security fees.
Floyd G. Slater Jr., a registered sex offender who was previously arrested by CUPD in 2015 for lewd behavior, was arrested again in early March by CUPD for entering Founders Hall on February 15 and exposing himself to a female student.
The suspect fled after exposing himself to the student as she was showering in a residence hall bathroom about 5:30 a.m, police said.
Cornell Police transported a man to a regional trauma center late on Tuesday night after he injured his legs falling off of a structure at the Cornell Heating Plant.
Rogers arrived at the bridge over Triphammer Falls and Beebe Lake at about 2:30 a.m. and hoisted a young man back over the railing near Beebe Lake.
“The officers feel protected [and] the public should be reassured that we can review any concerns about the level of service that we provide to the community,” Deputy Chief David Honan said.
Jamie Freeman, the witness, said he works in Comstock Hall and saw a man “peeking into unoccupied offices,” according to a statement given to Cornell Police Sgt. Justin Baum.
The entire rescue mission lasted about two hours. The current condition of the man is unknown, according to the fire department’s release.
