Pro-Palestinian students occupied various campus buildings from midday Friday, Dec. 1 until 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, after the University agreed to meet to discuss divestment.

The University placed the Mock Trial team on a temporary suspension for the fall 2019 semester for hazing that occurred during the fall 2018 semester. The investigation found the team had engaged in two events considered hazing, in violation of the Campus Code of Conduct.
After placing top 10 in the country this season, Cornell Mock Trial will once again prepare to face off against 46 of the best collegiate teams at nationals next month — a tournament that will pit teams from across the country in an imitated court setting, testing participants on their acting, legal and speech skills.
Two Cornell Mock Trial teams ranked fourth and ninth place, respectively, out of 48 other teams at the 2018 National Championship Tournament.
This year, Cornell’s top two A and B teams qualified for nationals — “the most prestigious tournament of the year,” according to James Pinchak ’18, the president of mock trial.
