After shocking the sprinting world by finishing second overall in the 200-meter dash heats, Bruno Hortelano-Roig ’14 missed out on competing for gold by .06 seconds.
Hortelano-Roig won his heat in the 200-meter dash at the 2016 Rio Olympics with a personal best time of 20.12 seconds, fast enough for second overall in the 10 total heats.
Team USA took fourth in the coxed eight final in Rio de Janeiro Saturday. The boat completed the 2,000-meter race with a time of 5:34.23, about three seconds behind the Netherlands, the bronze medal winning team.
