Gotta Have It

I know my parents miss me now that I have been up at school for four years, but they have the strangest means of trying to keep the apron strings tied. My father checks the Cornell live-cam that streams video over the Internet to see if he can see me walking to class past Willard Straight. My mother, on the other hand, likes to keep me informed on the weather by checking the local forecasts. Due to my attentive folks, I am usually a pretty good informant for the five-day weather schedule, and this week my mother made her annual call, “Ryan, are your jackets clean, because it’s going to snow this weekend?” Now, I’ve never been much of a fan of the winter coat or boots, but I do enjoy the occasional snow-day. Thus, I have spent the last few days preparing for the upcoming “first snow.” Here are some items I think are useful for a day in the snow.
