W. Hockey Travels to Vermont to Start Season

The women’s hockey team kicks off its season this weekend, traveling to Burlington, Vt., to take on Vermont tonight at 7 p.m. and tomorrow at 4 p.m.
The Catamounts (2-2-0), of the Hockey East Conference, have played well against some tough early-season competition so far this year. The squad dropped a 2-1 decision to No. 10 Connecticut last Saturday. Cornell will be the second of five ECAC Hockey teams that Vermont will face this season.
Cornell, coming off two blowout exhibition wins last weekend, will have three non-conference games to start the season before begining ECAC Hockey play against Princeton on Nov. 7.
