By ANITA ALUR

Centered around a dramatic, competitive set of twins, Myra and Myrna, and their developing identities through one of the nation’s most tumultuous periods, The Mineola Twins grapples with the ever-changing landscape for gender, sexuality and political rights from 1960 to 1980. The Department of Performing and Media Arts’ production of The Mineola Twins, an original play by Cornell alumna and Pulitzer Prize winner Paula Vogel, MFA ’76, opened last weekend in the Schwartz Center (if you missed it, there are shows this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., as well as a 2:00 p.m. Saturday matinee).
