Students, on either side of the issue, were surprised on March 12 to find an advertisement written by the Chinese Students & Scholars Association (CSSA) Council renouncing the possible visit of Lee Teng-hui ’68, the former president of Taiwan, to the United States and Cornell.
In an advertisement published by The Sun, a CSSA letter labeled the visit as a “humiliation” and “a negative impact
