For its final tournament of the season, the golf team will make the trip to State College, Pa., this weekend for the Penn State Tournament.
Last weekend, the team finished a disappointing eighth place at the Ivy League Tournament in N.J.
Traveling to Nittany Lions’ den this weekend will be Senior Connor Brownell, classmate Frank Ross, junior Dave Nayak, classmate Tim Roth and sophomore Ross LaFleur.
The tournament will feature 64 holes over two days.
About the course, Nayak said, “It’s supposed to be in excellent shape.”
While the Red has faced teams from the East, teams from the Big Ten are expected, along with schools from the Big East. The Ivy League will be represented by Princeton and Penn.
“After a hard week of practice, following a a disappointing Ivy League Championship, our team’s looking to do really well this weekend,” Nayak said.
Although placing well this weekend will top the Red’s priority list, earning back some pride from their Ivy opponents will undoubtedly also be important.
“Hopefully,” said Nayak, “we can redeem ourselves from last weekend and beat a couple of Ivy League foes.”
