Cornell was one of 11 teams chosen to compete in in 2007 DARPA Urban Grand Challenge, New Scientist reports.
The contest, which will take place in a simulated city environment including other moving vehicles, follows up on the original DARPA Grand Challenge, which was won by the Stanford Racing team in 2005.
