Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) buses began taking new detour routes yesterday. The University announced recently that the Thurston Avenue Bridge would be completely closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic for renovation on or near March 1. The actual closing date is weather-dependent and will be announced later. The detour applies to routes 12, 30, 32, 81, 82, 83, 85, 92 and 93. The direction of the route, time of arrival and location of stops are affected. Updated schedules will be posted at www.tcatbus.com. The new detours will be in effect until mid-August.
