  • Restaurant-Goers Fail to Consider Tip

    By March 5, 2007

    Article body:
Consider the cost of the exact same chicken marsala in two different restaurants: one is $15, the other $16. But the first restaurant is not actually cheaper — the second restaurant just includes a $2 tip in the original cost. Knowing this, where would you choose to dine? Rationale would dictate that you eat at the cheaper second restaurant. However, research suggests that restaurant-goers will go to the $15 chicken marsala restaurant, even if the final bill is the more expensive.

  • Men’s, Women’s Tennis Remain Unbeaten

By Maria Monte March 5, 2007

    Body:
It’s been a busy weekend at the Reis Tennis Center. Following this weekend’s events, both the men’s and women’s tennis teams remain unbeaten on the year.
The women’s tennis team remains undeafeated after its 6-1 win over the previously undefeated Buffalo team on Saturday. Despite a hard fought loss in the first singles match, the women won the rest of the singles and doubles matches. In the first singles match against her Buffalo opponent, sophomore Elizabeth Googe lost after an intense battle that culminated in a ten point tie breaker with scores of 6-4, 4-6, 10-7.
