Attempted Robbery Reported at Suspension Bridge

A man reported that he was the victim of an attempted armed robbery on campus at the north side of the Suspension Bridge last night at approximately 10:52 p.m., a University alert sent out late last night stated. The Cornell University Police Department is currently investigating the matter.
The CUPD and Ithaca Police Department had not located the suspects, who were last seen heading west on Fall Creek Drive, at the time the alert was sent out.
The victim reported having been approached by two males and said that one of them produced a knife and demanded his property, but fled when “no property was produced,” the e-mail alert stated.
One suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, approximately 5-foot-11, weighing 200 pounds, having a goatee and wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. The male victim was not able to give a good description of the other suspect.
The suspension bridge is located off of Fall Creek Drive, near several homes and sorority and fraternity houses.
