The men’s hockey team came up big in its must-win Game 2 of the series, and took advantage of 19 Rensselaer penalties to top the Engineers, 4-0. Cornell outshot RPI, 56-9, and controlled play for the majority of the night. Rensselaer players spent a total of 41 minutes in the penalty box a night after Cornell head coach Mike Schafer ’86 lashed out at officiating in the Red’s Game 1 loss. Schafer was suspended for Saturday’s game in response to his comments. Senior Evan Barlow scored two goals in the win.
