M. Soccer’s Brett Sumpio Excels as ‘Student-Athlete’

Being a collegiate athlete is not as easy as it may seem to some people. Cornell athletes, for instance, have to perform on two different playing fields: the court and the classroom. While normal students are constantly complaining about how tough college life is, these athletes have to manage a balance between athletics and academics. And although being on a varsity team certainly puts a student at a disadvantage against other peers in the academic field, many athletes still manage to excel.
