Ithaca Police Seek Answers After Stabbing on Chestnut Street

A man who was stabbed in the back in an Ithaca parking lot Saturday afternoon is refusing to cooperate with police.

At approximately 2:50 p.m., emergency responders arrived at a parking lot on Chestnut Street and found a male with a stab wound to the back. The man, whose injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, was transported by Bangs Ambulance to a hospital for treatment.

As of Monday, the man had not begun to cooperate with investigations, the Ithaca Police Department said in a statement. Police are asking anyone with information about the stabbing to contact the department.
