The No. 5 women’s hockey team was on a three-game winless streak heading into home games against Yale and Brown at Lynah Rink this weekend. After going undefeated through the first 11 games of the season, this recent three-game struggle was the Red’s biggest setback of the season. However, Cornell (16-3-4, 11-2-3) returned to the win column in impressive fashion Friday, defeating Yale (7-12-4, 5-7-4), 6-3. Cornell then easily shut out Brown (2-16-5, 1-12-3), 4-0, the following night.
