Though Labor Day was a time of welcome relaxation for many Cornellians, it quickly became a day of anxiety for employees at one of Collegetown’s most popular establishments.
During what was believed by most to be a normal beginning-of-semester meeting for Rulloff’s Restaurant and Bar, employees were notified Monday that the establishment— a staple in the Collegetown market since 1977 — was to shut its doors that same day.
Employees, students and alumni alike were saddened to hear that Rulloff’s Restaurant and Bar — located at 411 College Ave. — shut its doors Monday after serving Collegetown since 1977.
