At the State Theatre:

Bob Weir and Wolf Bros | Thursday, Feb. 28, 7:00 p.m.

Bob Weir, of the Grateful Dead, will be jamming out for an evening at the State Theatre downtown. The founding rhythm guitarist will be rehashing Dead songs with a new trio featuring Don Was on bass and Jay Lane on drums. Committed Dead Heads may find themselves downtown on the 28th, but it’s one of the most expensive shows in town with tickets starting at $65.

Vince Staples | Friday, March 1, 9:00 p.m.

Rapper Vince Staples will take the stage just off the Commons at the State Theatre. Staples, best known for “Norf Norf,” will be supported by JPEGMAFIA and Katori Walker. There are still tickets available at the base price of $29.50, as well as offerings for meet-and-greets and VIP packages.

At The Haunt:

The Haunt, off of Route 13 in between the Farmer’s Market and Stewart Park, will bring a number of smaller shows to Ithaca throughout February. The best bus route to get there is the TCAT 17, which can be caught at the Commons. All of these shows are 18+, except for minors with legal guardians.

Kyra Skye, Lady D, Vee Da Bee, East Coast Summit and Quail | Saturday, Feb. 23, 8:00 p.m.

These local bands are playing The Haunt as a benefit for Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger lakes. There will be funk, post-punk, folk and more.

The Wailers | Sunday, Feb. 24, 8:00 p.m.

Formerly the Bob Marley-fronted band, this reggae group is still keeping alive the legacy, both with members of the original band and some of their children. Known for powerful shows, The Haunt’s intimate setting should only amplify the band’s impression.

Blackalicious | Thursday, Feb. 28, 8:00 p.m.

The Sacramento hip hop duo Blackalicious is rounding out February at The Haunt, bringing their quick and classic tracks. Rapper Gift of Gab is known for his quick, elaborate rhymes which are on display in the alliterative Alphabet Aerobics.

At Ithaca College:

J.I.D | Saturday, Feb. 9, 6:30 p.m.

Around the Finger Lakes:

Drake Bell | Thursday, Feb. 21, 6:00 p.m.

If you were a Drake and Josh fan as a kid and have a way out of town, Drake Bell is playing a show at Lando’s in Corning, which is just under an hour away from campus. Is it worth it? That’s up to you.
