“To have a chance to coach a national team, either indoors or outdoors, is a truly an honor for him and well deserved.”
“It’s pretty sad to leave this spot, but it was a great way to go out.”
Last weekend in Potsdam, Cornell fell to Clarkson, 1-0, in the ECAC Championship Finals. The Red heads back north this weekend for the first round of the NCAA Tournament, hoping for a better result than its last.
“We pride ourselves on playing very tough on Schoellkopf, we’re very eager to play at home.”
“It’s always a huge game no matter who has a good record or who has a bad record.”
“We had a lot of energy in us, and between periods we talked to each other and we knew that we could get it done.”
“I took pride in tonight is telling the guys, ‘Hey, we’ve got a one-goal lead. Let’s play like it, let’s play aggressive, let’s extend this lead and make sure we get the W.’”
“We stopped working, they raised their level of intensity and we didn’t raise ours.”
Cornell continues to be on the outside looking in on the Ivy League Tournament after losing to Yale and Brown at home, now tied for fifth place with the Bears.
“It’s all about how you react after wins and how you react after losses.”
