The six incoming members of Cornell men’s basketball have been made clear.
Gettings said he plans to graduate in December before transferring to another college.
After a season beset by inconsistent lineups and a tough schedule, the loss sent Cornell below .500, ending its chance to compete in postseason play.
After comfortably dispatching a pair of Ivy rivals, Cornell tennis now has its sights set on claiming a spot in the upcoming NCAA tournament.
In the upset win, the Red saw its first fully healthy lineup in a few weeks.
“In both of our matches — and it’s been a recurring theme all season — we’ve put ourselves into very good positions. We just need to separate ourselves from our opponents there with an aggressive mindset and unfortunately we’ve tended to be passive in the moments that counted.”
“The only big difference between this year and last year’s team is that we’ve lacked a finishing aspect, and I feel that is certainly correctable.”
The Red hung with the Crimson early, but Harvard pulled away to advance to the Ivy championship game.
Juniors Matt Morgan and Stone Gettings, who will lead their team into Philadelphia for the conference playoffs this weekend, earned All-Ivy selections.
The Red downed Dartmouth and, thanks to Harvard and Yale’s help, are now headed to Philadelphia for #IvyMadness.
