Men’s, Women’s Swimming Concludes Dual Meet Season

The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were in Rhode Island this weekend, facing Brown in their last Ancient Eight dual meet of the season. The men (6-4, 4-4 EISL) took another commanding victory, showing similar form to their performance against Columbia. The women’s team (1-9, 0-8 ECAC) failed to win its final meet of the season, or any meet this season, but some of its top swimmers did swim well against Brown.

Home Losses Hurt W. B-Ball’s Playoff Chances

After starting conference play strong, Cornell lost back to back games at Newman Arena to Princeton and Penn this past weekend, falling to fifth in the Ivy League standings.
“We messed up big. You don’t lose on your home court like this,” said senior forward Shannan Scarselletta, also a Sun columnist.
“This weekend was a tough two games,” added junior guard Virginia McMunigal. “We’re just hoping to go in this week and have a strong week of practice.”
Following the doubleheader, the Red’s record on the season dropped to 7-11 overall, and 3-3 in conference play.

Around the Ivy's: Ivy League Rivals Back On the Court

The Ivy League men’s and women’s basketball season has just begun, but many teams, including Cornell, have been on the court for some time. As the League season begins, many of the teams have already hit their stride and competition is tight.
Cornell leads the men’s side with two wins against Columbia. On the women’s side the Red is in the middle of the pack with an even 1-1 record.
The Red men have already shown their dominance with solid victories outside of the Ivy League. With their back-to-back wins at Columbia they have asserted their current dominance in the league.
