During the race for the Platt cup, the Red raced neck and neck with Princeton, eventually securing first place with a time of 5:38.5. The Red also secured the Harriet Cup, by achieving the most team points throughout the course of the competition.
“With the courses many twists and turns and wind strength/direction … speed was constantly changing over the three-mile race course. No matter what the river threw at us we keyed in on technical focuses, relaxation and going as hard as we could in the poor conditions.”
