The faces of 43 Mexican students were plastered on bulletin boards in Goldwin Smith Hall Thursday, giving students a glimpse of the victims of one of Mexico’s largest unsolved political crises.
Fresh off the heels of Cornell football’s first win of the season, offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Roy Istvan has been the subject of criticism after a recent tweet has been called into question by MEChA de Cornell.
A couple hours after the Facebook event page for a “#ConcernedStudent2015 protest” was created, many students began to post on the page with concerns. Soon after, Black Students United posted on the event page, pointing out the lack of people of color in the planning and attendance of the event and requesting its cancellation.
