Waether Update Monday April 16, 2007 4:00 AM
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Morning

You have probably heard information related to the storm that has been moving towards the northeast and affecting the Ithaca area. We have been monitoring this weather system for the past three days.

As of 4:00 AM this morning, Monday April 16, we do not anticipate a university closing or a late opening. TCAT and other bus services are planning to operate on a normal schedule although delays may occur due to weather conditions. We will continue to monitor the weather through day on Monday. Any change in University operating status will be posted to the University-Closing-L mailing list, CUInfo, cornell.edu and also on the Operating Status web page at: http://www.cornell.edu/about/status/.

Supervisors are reminded that staff may have difficulty getting to and from work on Monday because of unsafe travel conditions that may exist in outlying areas. To the extent possible, supervisors are asked to grant vacation time or personal time off to staff who request it in order to accommodate these circumstances.

Essential personnel who cannot report to work or will report to work late because of unsafe travel conditions should communicate directly with their supervisor as soon as possible.

We will continue to monitor the conditions through the day.
