Cornell Police are investigating several larcenies that have occurred in daylight in open athletic buildings on campus.

Community members have reported that their cell phones and wallets were stolen from unsecured lockers while they were working out, according to an email Cornell Police Chief Kathy Zoner sent to the University Friday afternoon.

“I remind all members of the University community that it is not enough to have your item out of sight,” Zoner said. “Take precautions to secure your valuables.”

Zoner asked community members to make sure they keep their portable valuables with them at all times and use locks and lockers when they are available.

“Suspicious activity on campus should be reported immediately to CUPD,” she added in the email.
