Last week, the University announced that it is one of 56 colleges participating in a national initiative to review student alcohol and drug use and campus mental health services in support of student well-being.

Schools participating new initiative — led by the Jed Foundation and The Clinton Mental Health Matters Campus Program — make a four-year commitment to work with the program to improve mental health services for students. The new iniative specfically targets minimizing alcohol and substance abuse on campus, according to Janis Whitlock, director of the Cornell Research Program on Self-Injurious Behaviors.
