2007 Football Player Preview: Safety Gus Krimm

Much like senior Colin Nash, who was yesterday’s selected football player, junior Gus Krimm emerged onto the scene last year. After only seeing action in two games during his freshman campaign, Krimm compiled 58 tackles last year — 41 of those were solo. His tackle total was good enough for the fourth-most on the team.
The Columbus, Ohio native seemed to have a knack for the ball, tying his career-high nine tackles in four different games. Additionally, the team’s starting strong safety racked up two sacks and a forced fumble.
Known as one the team’s big hitters, Krimm’s talent was not limited to tackling. The junior added five pass breakups to his impressive stat sheet.
Also in the secondary are seniors Michael Boyd and Colin Nash and All-Ivy junior Tim Bax. With the return of four starters in the secondary, the unit will be one of — if not the strongest — unit on the team.
