OurBus, a transportation service that operates in the area, recently added a year-round route between Ithaca and Long Island, with stops along the North Shore of Long Island.
According to a Tompkins County Workers’ Center press release, the award is given to an “especially egregious offender of workers’ rights and/or the value of labor to our common good.”
Student volunteers spent four days engaging in various volunteer work ranging from transporting water to senior homes and a middle school to providing check-ups for patients unable to travel to the clinic.

The second phase of the research project aims to “identify traits preferred by farmers and end-users and incorporate them into new cassava lines to ensure that varieties are responsive to people’s needs,” NextGen project director Prof. Chiedozie Egesi said.

Cornell and Ithaca moved one step closer to blocking access to the gorge above Ithaca Falls, which has long served as a local swimming hole but has also been the site of at least two students’ drowning deaths in recent years.
The Breazzano Family Center is a state-of-the-art, six-story building located on Dryden Road in Collegetown, with classrooms for up to 450 students, three floors of administrative offices, two high-definition broadcasting studios and 19 breakout rooms.
