This weekend, Cornell looks to come out on top of the competition at the Kane Invitational, flipping the focus to individual performances.
“We need people who are offensive threats, and that’s exactly what she has been for us. She can be a high energy spark plug for us, and when she does that, good things happen for her [and] good things happen for our team.”
The Red will look for its first win in Thursday’s matchup against Colgate after falling to Loyola and Pittsburgh to start the season.
“We are not going to be able to replace who [last year’s seniors] were. We need this team to create its own identity. I love that they are hungry for the new opportunity.”
“Our team is really focusing on taking every experience we have and learning from them to keep growing and getting better every day.”
Did you know Kiley McPeek was in Turkey during the coup in 2016? And that she one day wants to own a coffee shop?
“Despite going 1-2 this weekend, we were able to turn those losses into a learning experience and use it to be better for our Ivy League games coming up.”
“I want to make sure that in the next week that we are really focusing on keeping that sense of urgency even when we have a lead.”
Cornell traveled down south and salvaged a win in the year’s opening tournament.
“The team is really excited to start playing together. We see how much potential we have for the season and can’t wait to see it all come together.”
