Michener began her lecture by describing the “health policy roller coaster” that American citizens have recently climbed aboard, revealing that in 2010, the Affordable Care Act appeared to offer a “new set of possibilities on the horizon” to some — an optimism that tapered off soon after politics became interwoven with the policy.

Ariella Lindenfeld ’18 created “Never Forget,” an exhibit that featured artistic reflections and historical artifacts from the Holocaust. On March 26 newspaper clippings valued at $2,500 went missing from the exhibit.
Cornell awarded Stepfanie Aguillon grad and Aravind Natarajan grad the Cornelia Ye Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award in recognition of their work in the classroom on Jan. 22.
A Cornell research team won $1 million in December for their solution to the runoff of nitrogen into bodies of water, drawing from weather, soil type and crop management data.
Ithaca’s VFW and members of the community organized the parade, and the Kappa Sigma fraternity at Ithaca College helped with setup. The fraternity has helped run the Veterans Day parade for three years, its president said.
Under the pilot program, voters could propose adding a speed bump on a busy road, fixing a swing set, funding community organizations and more.
