The Red will take on the nation’s No. 1 team for the third time this season when it faces Maryland in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday.
After going down early, Cornell clawed back in the first round of the NCAA tournament to edge out Syracuse in the Carrier Dome.

Cornell and Syracuse are set to meet in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the Red’s heartbreaking 2009 championship game loss to its in-state rival.

Cornell is the team traveling in this matchup, despite having defeated Syracuse head-to-head earlier this season.
With its Ivy championship victory, Cornell has earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
