Four goaltenders and several reserves saw playing time for Cornell in an easy win.
The Red proceeded to make an impressive case, scoring nine unanswered goals. At halftime, Cornell led Towson, 12-6, and momentum was on the side of head coach Peter Milliman’s squad.
Cornell has lost four straight games against Albany, but is primed to down their in-state rival after the Great Danes’ star faceoff man transferred to Yale.
Penn State, Syracuse and Notre Dame are among the ranked teams Cornell will face this season.
Cornell has four more losses than it did in all of last season at this point. That is pretty substantial in a set of 21 games. However, these losses are by no means indicative of the quality of this team.
“You’re going to want to get the Spanish mackerel, it’s definitely the best throwing fish.”
Something was definitely missing at MSG, aside from a few Cornell goals and injured skaters.
The team needs to redeem itself, but so do the fans — the Lynah Faithful.
