“We really can’t have this kind of meet happen again. I know we’re going to be more aggressive in our meets and just compete to compete instead of over-thinking.”
The excitement for Heps is palpable and every single player going is ready to prove themselves, both individually and as a program.
The first of many records to be broken over the weekend was a program-best mark from senior co-captain Ellen Shepard in the 200-meter sprint.
“Our ultimate goal is the win the Indoor HEPS Track & Field Championship in three weeks,” Durant said. “Going forward we’ll focus on competition rather than training. We’ve just about done all of the training we can do, now all that’s left is to compete hard.”

Bowman is one of the longest tenured coaches currently serving on East Hill.
It has been quite the past 13 months for Rudy Winkler.
Winkler has gone where few Cornellians before him have gone — the Olympics.
